This is a basic Southern fried chicken recipe, and it is easy and delicious.
Ingredients:
- 8-10 Chicken Drumettes
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 cups white all purpose flour
- 1 Tbs black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 Tbs garlic powder
- 1 tsp creole seasoning
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 Tbs paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
Instructions:
- Soak the chicken in the buttermilk for about 2 ours in the refrigerator
- In a separate bowl, combine flour and seasonings and mix well
- Remove chicken from buttermilk and set on a plate
- Dip each piece of chicken into the flour mixture, followed by the buttermilk and then once more into the flour mixture
- Place each piece of chicken into the fry basket
- Place the fry basket into the Power air Fryer XL
- Press the M button and scroll over to the chicken icon
- adjust cook time to 20 minutes at 360 degrees and begin
- Turn chicken with tongs about every 5 minutes to prevent any sticking
- Serve immediately
